2013 renuion ..... 2 weeks away

Is it just me, or did this past year fly by?  Good grief!!!!  I wish I could say that I am totally prepared for the upcoming event, but I'd be lying!  Haha!  Anyway, we have some really fun things planned out for you all to participate in.  So, we hope to see you there!!

2013 Reunion - Amazing Race edition

That's right people!  We are doing The Amazing Race - Robinson Family Reunion style this year!  We plan on making teams between each family, so be ready!  Details will be given the day of. 

Come for some good food, good fun and good company!  The following is a schedule of the weekend’s activities:

Date: June 29^th (Saturday), June 30^th (Sunday), in Manila, Utah at the Manila Park.

Time: June 29^th – 6:30 a.m. - breakfast started, served at 7:00 a.m., end at 8:00 a.m.

           June 29^th – 12:00 p.m. - lunch served

           June 29^th – 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. – family history/stories, horseshoes, & games.   Be prepared to participate in the Robinson Family version of:

THE AMAZING RACE

           June 29^th –6:00 p.m. - dinner/leftovers served

           June 29^th –8:00 p.m. - roast marshmallows & eat s’mores

           June 30^th  - 6:30 a.m. - breakfast started, served at 7:00 a.m., end at 8:00 a.m.

Potluck:  Please bring a dish to share for the luncheon on Saturday (salad, fruit, dessert etc.).  Meat and drinks will be provided.

2013 Reunion - save the date

2013 Robinson Family Reunion will be June 29-30, in Manila, Utah.  So save the date and we hope to see you all there!!

2012 Reunion - done!

Whew!  It's been almost 2 months since the reunion, and I am still recovering from it.  Okay....not really, but we did have a lot of fun.  Those who weren't able to make it, you really missed out!  Thank you for those who came, brought all the yummy food, and participated in all the games.  Here is just a taste of what we did:

ANGRY BIRDS

My dad, Rick, designed a sling shot apparatus, that attached to the hitch of his truck.  We gathered boxes and stacked them up, and the rest of the pictures tells the story:

 MINUTE TO WIN IT GAMES:

We had a minute to win it tournament, and had so much fun!  Here are some pictures of the events:

Breakfast Scramble - put together a puzzle using cereal box fronts.  Harder than it sounds!!!

Defying Gravity - keep 3 balloons in the air without letting them touch the ground.  Very difficult, but funny to watch.

Face the Cookie - move an Oreo from your forehead to your mouth, only using your facial muscles.  This was by far the best one to watch!  Hilarious faces!

JaNita kept screaming that the cookie wouldn't go past her nose.  Too funny!

Cathlene kept slouching down until she was almost on the ground.  It was hilarious!

Tea Party - flip two tea bags from under the brim of a baseball cap to the top of the brim.

Nose Dive - dip your nose in petroleum jelly, then in a bowl of cotton balls, and transfer it from one end of the table to another.  Sandy was trying to cheat here :)!

Caddy Stack - stack 3 gold balls on top of one another.  This was very difficult, but Geoff was able to do it.

Junk in the Trunk - shake your hips and booty until you get all the ping-pong balls out of the tissue box strapped to your back.

Dizzy Mummy - unroll a roll of toilet paper by spinning around. Cathlene obviously was very excited about beating Tyson!

Geoff made himself so dizzy he fell over.

And the winner is.....Beau Ellsworth!  Way to go Beau!

We also play multiple rounds of the card game "Idiot".  Sandy ended up wearing the hat quite a bit and apparently was not happy about it :)!!!

2012 Reunion - almost here!!!

Over-night camping in the Park

I just found out that the Manila County Commissioners met last night to discuss the issue of over-night camping in the park.  In previous years, it was allowed, then last year after our reunion, they passed an ordinance stating no RV's allowed in the park at any time.

The decision has been made that only 2 campers/RV's are allowed in the park at one time for the following reasons ONLY:

1.  Elderly and/or mothers w/babies needing rest/shade
2.  Cooking purposes
3.  Security reasons

With this information, no over-night parking/camping is allowed, but you can have your camper/RV there during the day.   ***** JUST RECEIVED PERMISSION (5/4/12) FOR UNCLE ARTHUR TO BE ABLE TO CAMP OVER-NIGHT TO WATCH OVER ALL OF OUR SUPPLIES (SECURITY REASONS).  If you need to make hotel accommodations, there are links to hotels on the side of this blog.  If you have any questions, please leave a comment, or reply back to my email that I sent out.  If you did not receive an email, please let me know at dezaree@gmail.com.
